Note: I very sadly deleted this original post (along with all the fab comments), so here is the recovered version. Boo
I was spoilt by
Revlon with these four Just Bitten
lip stains a week ago and have since been addicted. Literally! I even found
myself (after a face mask and ready for bed) trying on all the pretty colours
and wore one to bed – I know, I know! These have been raved about by American
and UK beauty vloggers, so I have been waiting with baited breath to get my
hands on them.

When I posted
these on Instagram and Twitter a few of you mentioned the Clinique Chubby
sticks (which I reviewed here). I must say, these have got my vote so far!
I love them so
much as they are incredibly smooth and easy to apply as well as having a nice
sheen to them. I wouldn’t classify them as a moisturising lip product, but they
certainly don’t dry the lips out.
I think my
biggest pro is the colour selection – really my kind of lip colours with
beautiful nudes, pretty pinks and bold corals. I chose the below four:

The main benefit
of the products is that they literally stain the lips with a pretty colour so
last about 2 – 4 hours, although I do like reapplying it as like the balmy
feeling on my lips. It’s one of those products that after eating/drinking your
lips still look pretty and made up, rather than faded and messy.
I like that these balm stains don't need to be sharpened, you just turn the silver piece on the bottom, and the balm stain will scroll up. It's handy, it's easy, and it's super convenient not to have to sharpen them.
These Just Bitten balms have a slight minty taste and fragrance to them, but you don't get a burning effect on your lips at all. The pigmentation is great on these balm stains. I found that some are a bit more pigmented than others but I think that's just when it’s a darker colour which I prefer. You don't just get a "sheer swipe of colour”, but you get really great, pigmented colour from these balm stains.
This is a breakdown of my general thoughts:
Pros:
Nice minty fragrance
Smooth application, no tugging/pulling
Awesome colour selection (I want them all)
Long lasting
Affordable, R95 at Dischem, R99 at Clicks.
Great colour pigmentation
Cons:
Not as moisturising as a lip butter (but certainly not drying)
Can be a little dry after the glossiness of the balm goes away, and just
the stain is left, but this is true with all lip colours I find.
Those are my thoughts, so hope you will have no hesitation in stocking
up on these. They amazing!

I tried the honey one the other day in Edgars, it was so pretty... but I resisted the temptation as I'm still trying to get through all the other lippies I bought on impulse the last few months....
